Well, hello there!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Easter, and another Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Yes, it's been a while. I'm sorry.
There is a reason for that.
I may explain that reason in a future email.

For now I want to explain, especially for all new readers, what you can expect in the foreseeable future.

Those who have been with me for a while already know that my guide books do not only get updated all the time as I receive new information but that I also do one major review before the start of a new season.
I used to do that overhaul at the end of the year and have an updated version ready for you for the new calendar year.
This year, as any recent buyers would have noticed, I am leaving it until a bit later. I will start doing the review soon.

Most businesses in the north do take a loooong break at the end of a tourist season and do not start to even think about what they'll be offering or about their prices until well into the new year. Understandable. The last thing you want at the end of an exhausting season is worry about the next one.
Unfortunately that meant that a lot of the little detail in the business listings in my guides had changed again by the time my readers actually got on the road.

Sooo... that's my excuse for doing it so late this year. I am hoping that I will be able to get more current prices and details.

The procedure, however, remains exactly the same:
First, I do my bit.
Then, once I'm done, I let you know via this newsletter.
And then you request a fresh download link for your guide(s) whenever you are ready.
I recommend you leave it until a few weeks before you travel. That way any additional updates that I may come across will also be already incorporated.

To request a fresh download link you use the form on the contact page. My wonderful assistant Amit needs your surname and the email address you used for your purchase to find your original purchase record. If you can't remember which email you used, your surname and the approximate date of your purchase may also enable us to find you in the database. We do need to find your original purchase to reactivate your download link, so please help us to do that.

A couple of additional notes:

To everybody who has been sending in updates and errors that they have come across: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
To everybody who noticed errors but hasn't written in yet: Now is the best time to do so!

And to everybody who had planned on writing a trip report but never got around to it:
All the readers planning to travel in 2014 would really, really like to hear about your experiences.

And that's all for today. Short and sweet.
I gotta get back to work and get those guides updated.
I'll write more next time.

Take care and talk soon!
Birgit
