Serviced Campsites North of Broome

by Dean
(Brisbane)

Birgit, we have a group doing the Kimberley during August and have a detailed itinerary with just one gap. We are looking for camping around Coulomb Point area that as a minimum has drop toilets. All my reading to date states "unserviced". We would like to set a base in this area and do day trips from there. Any advice appreciated, thankyou, and keep up the great work on your website.
Cheers,

Camping on Broome's northern beaches
by: Birgit

Hi Dean,

In my Kimberley guide I write:
"There is nothing out here so you have to be totally self sufficient."

Just as I describe it, Coulomb Point is very remote.
You can't find anything because there isn't anything.
(Consider yourself lucky if you find a reasonable track :-).)

If there was a campground with facilities in the area my guide would have mentioned it.
Broome's northern beaches offer authorised bushcamping, but that only means nobody will kick you off if you pull up for a camp. It doesn't mean there are campgrounds or facilities.

There is nothing at all along that bit of coast so you're only option is to make do on your own.
Sorry that I can't be of more help.
